Your contributions help provide rides and programs for local community members with special needs. We simply could not do it without you. Thank you!

Will you support local community members with special needs?

Community Options has been serving the needs of people with developmental and intellectual disabilities in our six county region since 1972. Our programs serve people with a wide range of abilities, and across all age spectrums. Our funding comes primarily from Medicaid, and reimbursements for services do not cover the entire cost of providing the care. For example, while we are responsible for transporting our clients for most of their daily needs — including medical appointments, recreation, education, day programming and more — we are not provided funding to service or replace any of the vehicles in our large fleet.

Fortunately, the Colorado Department of Transportation (CDOT) understands our role and our need to replace our aging fleet. For the second year in a row, they have awarded us a grant to replace old vehicles with new, ADA accessible vans. They will pay for 80% of the vehicle cost, and we need to raise the rest locally. This year, we were awarded two new vehicles that are arriving in late 2020.

Why do you need new vehicles?

Our clients are dependent upon our vehicles to get them where they need and want to go. Many of our vehicles are so old they do not work for modern-day wheelchairs, and are very costly to maintain. Funding from CDOT and local community members like you, will help replace two of our oldest and highest mileage vehicles, and replace them with modern vans that will allow for more efficient, safe and comfortable transportation for our clients.

How can I help?

1) Make a Personal or Business Donation.

These collective donations add up fast and help us to get those new vehicles delivered as soon as possible! You can sign up for a one-time or a recurring donation. Donations over $100 will be acknowledged on social media and in our employee and family newsletter.

2) Support through the Community Options Vehicle Sponsor Program.

This option is great for businesses or organizations who want to show their support all over town with their logo on our vehicles. Sponsorships start at $50 per month, and we offer a choice of Montrose or Delta vehicle locations.

Sponsorship Details:

Platinum ($5,000): Large logo on 4 vehicles

Gold ($2,500): Large logo on 2 vehicles

Silver ($1,200): Medium logo on 2 vehicles

Bronze ($600): Medium logo on 1 vehicle

Terms are annual (January-December). We offer a 10% discount for a 2-year+ commitment.
